On December 1st & 2nd Zebra, the classic Rat Race Choir lineup, White Fire and Vixen will play Mulcahy’s in Wantagh. It’s the 40th anniversary of Zebra hitting the Island scene. Playing their debut in its entirety and some ZEP plus a special set from the classic Rat Race Choir lineup along with club favorites White Fire (Friday) & Vixen (Saturday).

Back in the day Long Island was home to many rocking nightclubs. Speaks, Hammerheads, Beggars Opera, MadHatter, OBI, Rum Bottoms, Rum Runners, and Sunance to name a few.

I was working at Beggars Opera in Queens as house DJ when a record rep handed me a copy of U2’s debut “Boy” I immediately was a fan playing “I will Follow ” right away and the reaction from the crowd was “Who is this?” That was 1980.
